AIRPLANE
|
The airport is five kilometers away from downtown Santander and it has daily connections with Madrid and Barcelona. The flight from Madrid takes about 40 minutes and about 60 minutes for Barcelona. These domestic flights are operated by IBERIA. There are also international flights, which are operated by the low cost Irish company RYANAIR. There are flights connecting London-Santander, Rome-Santander and Frankfurt-Santander. Taxis are available at the airport for transportation to the hotel. |

TRAIN
|
There are several trains connecting Santander and Madrid, with a expected trip duration of about six hours. Information about timetables can be obtained in the web page of the Spanish railroad company RENFE. The Santander train station is located in the center of the city. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel. |

BUS/CAR
|
There are many buses from Madrid, Bilbao, Hendaye/Irun, to and from Santander. Bus-trips are a cheap and popular way for travelling in Spain. All buses stop in Santander at the bus station, located in front of the railroad station. If you drive your own car or a rented car, you can arrive at Santander

BOAT
|
Twice a week, there is a ferry boat connecting Santander with Plymouth (UK). The trip last about 24 hours, and it is operated by BRITTANY FERRIES. |
